Major Cryptocurrency Fiasco: Coinmarketcap Removes South Korean Price

Want create site? Find Free WordPress Themes and plugins.

The trading price of Ripple on South Korean cryptocurrency exchange has been removed from the Coinmarketcap yesterday.  Over past week, well-regulated South Korean cryptocurrency exchange market has been accountable for more 50% of global Ripple. The world’s second largest cryptocurrency exchange with $2.6 billion daily trading volume process $750 million worth of Ripple trades on a daily basis.

Coinmarketcap Failure:

The decision of Coinmarketcap for suddenly removing South Korean rates is questionable though it has removed South Korean rates from all the other cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin, Ethereum, and other cryptocurrencies. The price of all the cryptocurrencies that are concerted in the South Korean market has decreased significantly.

For newcomers, the sudden removal of South Korean rates from Ripple’s global average price looked like a major correction. According to Ripple’s chief cryptographer, David Schwartz, Coinmarketcap’s decision to eliminate Korean prices from the displayed XPR price made the price appear to drop possibly triggering some panic selling. Look meticulously at the data and don’t be deluded. He also highlighted that the latest price of Ripple without the high premium rate of the South Korean market is more meaningful. Although it has triggered a minor sell-off as investors began to validate concerns over the short-term performance of XPR.

Is it a Good Decision?

Analysts and experts have conflicting viewpoints on the removal of South Korean rates from the global price of cryptocurrencies on Coinmarketcap.  David Schwartz also said that the removal of South Korean rates is advantageous for the market and for every cryptocurrency that is listed on the Coinmarketcap since only a portion of investors is affected by the premium rates in South Korea.

It’s quite difficult for foreigners to trade cryptocurrencies in the South Korean market and also very much challenging for South Korean investors to take benefit of the arbitrage opportunity. The price of cryptocurrencies in the South Korean market is exclusive to local traders and investors.

The question about the rates from the South Korean market whether they should be imitated on the global price of cryptocurrencies still remains unanswered. Whereas some experts believe that it could make the ecosystem better. Others believe that the sheer trading volume coming from the South Korean market and strict rules imposed by the government to regulate the sector, South Korean rates should be considered in the calculation the global average price.

Eventually, due to the strict capital controls, it’s not possible for the foreign traders to move South Korean won out of the local cryptocurrency segment. Therefore, experts believe that the removal of South Korean rates is defensible.

Bitcoin vs Litecoin – Which One is Better?

Want create site? Find Free WordPress Themes and plugins.

The hype of cryptocurrencies has increased dramatically over the past few years. Especially after the introduction of Bitcoin, back in 2009.

Bitcoin is the most popular cryptocurrency. The currency has ruled the crypto world undisputedly for many years. Even now, Bitcoin sits on top of the crypto pile. However, it is not the only king in the jungle anymore. The leading cryptocurrency is now facing a growing competition from other cryptocurrencies, Litecoin being one of the closest rivals of Bitcoin.

In this article, we have discussed the major differences between Bitcoin and Litecoin. Hopefully, you will be able to get a good idea about both the cryptocurrencies after reading this.

Litecoin:

Litecoin is one of the many names that received a lot of positive responses from the market.  It was launched in 2011 by its creator Charles Gee – with the aim of becoming the “silver” to Bitcoin’s “gold”. Like Bitcoin, Litecoin is also generated by mining. The motivation behind its creation was to improve upon Bitcoin.

Bitcoin:

In 2009, Satoshi Nakamoto launched Bitcoin as the world’s first cryptocurrency. It has no central authority and anyone can access it from anywhere. Bitcoins are ‘mined’, using computing power in a global network and are used to buy things electronically.

What is The Difference Between Bitcoin and Litecoin?

There isn’t just one, but many differences between Bitcoin and Litecoin. The major differences are as follows:

  • There are more litecoins available in the market, i.e. 84 million than bitcoins as Bitcoin will never exceed the limit of 21 million.
  • Due to the limit of bitcoins available, it is of much higher value as compared to Litecoin.
  • Litecoin has a much faster speed of transaction; only 2.5 minutes, unlike Bitcoin which takes around 10 minutes right now.
  • Both employ different algorithms, Bitcoin uses the longstanding SHA-256 algorithm, unlike Litecoin which makes use of a new algorithm known as Scrypt.
  • Another major difference is that Litecoin is a cheaper option for miners than Bitcoin. The former only requires a normal computer and an internet connection to begin mining, whereas the latter requires maximum computing power which is out-of-reach for an everyday user.
  • Bitcoin is relatively slow in confirming transactions, while Litecoin accepts a higher number of transactions due to its higher volume of blocks.

So, What to Choose – Bitcoin or Litecoin?

We know that both the cryptocurrencies have their own set of pros and cons. They even have several resemblances. No doubt, they are both accepted very positively all across the globe. However, the final choice is yours.

Good Luck!

Should You Invest in Bitcoin In 2017 – Here Is What You Need to Know

Want create site? Find Free WordPress Themes and plugins.

The year 2017 had a blistering start as Bitcoin ran past $1,000 check without any indications of backing off. The cryptocurrency continues developing in prevalence. Subsequently, you will see a colossal number of individuals asking: “how to invest in Bitcoin and is it even a smart thought to put your resources into the cryptocurrency?”

Bitcoin is not a company nor a brand. It is a virtual cash which just includes shared exchanges.

If you plan on investing in Bitcoin trading, you will need to opt for some unorthodox methods.

Here, we have talked about probably the most widely recognized Bitcoin investment techniques. Give each a strong read.

Bitcoin Investment – Buying and Holding:

A standout amongst the most widely recognized types of Bitcoin investments. Bitcoin clients purchase currency in the hoping for it to appreciate in value. If you plan on buying bitcoins, you must know when is the perfect time to make the purchase – implying that the value will keep on appreciating.

Here are a few tips for buying bitcoins:

  • Bitcoin is a hazardous venture. Never contribute more than you can deal with to lose.
  • Once you have purchased the coins, never abandon them at the trade. Exchange them to your wallet ASAP.
  • Buy the coins only from well-reputed exchange

check out our guide on how to buy bitcoins to learn more.

Trading in Bitcoin:

Individuals often confuse Bitcoin-trade and purchase and holding with each other. In reality, these two are completely different investment techniques. In trading, the purchaser buys the coins at lower rates and effectively tries to offer them at a higher cost, without holding back for value appreciation.

You Can Also Invest in Bitcoin Mining:

Bitcoin mining investment is just conceivable at a bigger scale. It requires costly mining gear and is only useful if somehow you have access to the free electricity.

Some websites also allow investors to make Bitcoin investments using their services. They call it “Cloud mining”. We recommend you to proceed with caution with such websites due to the following two reasons:

  • Most of them are scams and are keeping eyes just on your cash.

you will run over many organizations that welcome Bitcoin clients to put resources into their organization. These organizations claim to give you crazy day by day rewards or offer to two-fold your coins. Try not to get influenced. The vast majority of them are scams and are just there to take your cash.

So, What’s the Final Thought – Should You Invest in Bitcoin?

Well, the appropriate answer is not simply a “yes” or “no” as it’s not only about when to invest but also how to invest. In the event that you need to put resources into Bitcoin, know the procedure, instruct yourself, and do a broad statistical surveying.

Keep in mind, the final only belongs to you. When you think the time is correct, simply go ahead and make the venture.
